About Italy and Italians
Italy is a peninsula located in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. The land is so beautiful and the people are so artistic and easy going, that several other nations in the past have occupied it and declared it their own. Greece, Spain, Austria and other political entities have dominated Italy for a long time.
Then the peninsula was finally united in 1861, and in 1871 Rome became its capital. The struggle of reaching independence for Italy occurred during the same time period when the United States reached its own independence from England. We can fairly say then, that Italy and The United States of America are two young nations who have achieved independence during the same time period
We were born in Sicily and grew up in Milan, Italy.
We teach small classes and offer one on one sessions with reasonable rates in the Broward county area of South Florida. We love teaching...and now we would like you to be one of our students.
Welcome to our class with us you will learn how to think like an Italian, and how to talk like an Italian. I will introduce you to the Italian culture, Italian music, Italian cooking...
In a short time you will know everything about Italy and its population. Italians are romantic and passionate. Italians are thoughtful. Italians believe they can make a difference. That's why so many artists, so many explorers, so many writers and so many inventors come from Italy. We have found that those who are interested in learning other cultures and other languages, do much better in school, and are most likely to succeed in social studies and in life.
My encouragement to you is to take an interest in the Italian language, and I promise, you will be greatly rewarded.
Teacher: Rita was educated in Milan, Italy and has been teaching Italian for many years. She has taught privately and teaches at Coral Springs Community School, Taravella Community School and Plantation Community School.
